Asian Cabbage Salad {THM} +skiing pictures!

When two sisters and two sisters get together in a cabin with their husbands and kiddos it’s a recipe for good food and fun times! We looked forward to this trip for months. It just happened to be smack in the middle of a busy few weeks and for a bit we weren’t sure how we would juggle so many different things….but it ended up being the perfect breather that we needed. Sometimes it’s just good to get away and relax a while. Enjoying God’s beautiful creation both in scenery and friends! We feel richly blessed.

The guys hit the slopes while we women drank coffee and tea and indulged on THM desserts that were delightful to the tastebuds. We gave our jaws a good work out if nothing else ’cause we were either eating or talking constantly. =) Or both simultaneously. Version 2

My favorites. I love spending everyday with these two!

This guy is a character! And so hilarious to watch. He could be good someday. He was constantly learning new tricks to show us.

These beautiful girls were daring and brave, making skiing look like such a natural thing. They had such fun together and I heard lots of laughter coming from their bunk room!

This is the man power right here! Brothers at heart? Looks like it to me.

Sadly, I never did get a shot of the 3 pretty ladies I was with or the rustic cabin tucked in the woods. I guess we were busy holding babies, feeding hungry children, and taking video clips of our men all while soaking up the precious moments of life together. Just take my word for it, they are pretty ladies. =)

It was the perfect way to say Goodbye to winter and boots and now I am ready to usher-in Spring. Saying Hello to picnics and flip-flops and sun.

Anyway, on to the salad. Charlene made this delicious Asian Cabbage Salad that was too perfect not to share. If I tried to mention all the other amazing dishes she made for us the list would be too long and it might make you really hungry, I’ll just say that it involved steak. You can dream on from there.

The dressing is full of flavor and I love the crunch of the cashews!

I’ll be making this often.
